Start with the documented color character
Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee is a warm white with more body than a very bright white. Temperature is a useful description, but neighboring materials can change the impression. Swiss Coffee OC-45 is a warm-white choice whose identity must stay distinct from the lighter Behr reference with the same name.
Why the cream stone and aged brass relationship matters
Cream stone already contributes warmth; brass is an accent within that palette rather than proof that every warm white will fit.
Swiss Coffee has an LRV of 81.91; Behr Swiss Coffee 12 is 84. The difference is 2.09 points, with Swiss Coffee returning more light under the reference measurement. Behr Swiss Coffee 12 is a warm white with a cream base, separate from Benjamin Moore's OC-45. This supplies a named color control; the LRV gap alone does not identify the warmer, greener or pinker paint.
Use Swiss Coffee as a control
Put Swiss Coffee directly against the whitest permanent surface and then against the warmest one. If those two boundaries disagree, decide which surface controls the project. The word warm cannot reconcile every ivory cabinet with every white stone, and a cooler label does not automatically imply an unsuitable room.
Separate a persistent cast from a comparison effect
Choose the OC-45 sample on its own merits; the Behr color with the same name is a separate paint reference. The undertones and neighboring colors covers that related choice.
Judge the temperature description against the full cream stone and aged brass arrangement. A warm or cool label is a useful starting category; it cannot guarantee that Swiss Coffee agrees with every material assigned the same label. The wood-floor pairing guide covers that related choice. Before ordering samples, compare room-planning features in the paint color visualizer roundup.
